Our Story

Jordan Hallows endeavoured to bring London dining standards to Surrey. Jordan's passion and experience in hospitality from London inspired him to create relaxed and memorable dining experiences in beautiful restaurants, with high-quality British steaks, accompanied by the best British wines, spirits and cocktails designed with flair by our creative teams.

What we do

We are committed to delivering premium, British ingredients with a first-class service, in a relaxed environment. Our wonderful restaurants reinforce our company values; to bring a bold and energetic concept to life. This passion is in everything we do; whether it’s dry ageing our own steaks, home smoking our salmon, or barrel ageing spirits and hand crafting new cocktails. High quality, British steak is cooked over fire on Robata grills, with our unique Wagyu basting.  


Our journey so far

2014: Rarebreed Dining was founded.

2015: We open our first restaurant, The Plough Inn in Cobham.

2016: Work began to refurbish and extend our second restaurant, The Shurlock, near Twyford, opening in 2017.

2017: We acquired, refurbished and opened The Corn Stores in Reading, a beautiful four-story restaurant with two bars.

2019: We started work extending and refurbishing our fourth restaurant, The Waverley in Weybridge to include a new dining room, terrace and office.

2023: We made the difficult, but necessary, decision to close the Corn Stores. This allowed us to grow the brand and business with similar sites to our other three successful venues.
